Start with one intentional surface
Remove disconnected scraps, hidden duplicate shells, and accidental internal geometry before import. Separate decorative objects may be treated as unrelated components rather than part of the intended glass form.
Check scale before judging detail
A feature that looks large on screen can become impractically small at the finished height. Set the actual project height first, then evaluate small edges, tight valleys, and narrow regions.
Use the source editor deliberately
Vitrifier can remove detail or add material before panelization while retaining the original model for recovery. Use those tools to simplify areas that would otherwise create fragile pieces or impossible seams.
Match panel count to fabrication
More panels do not automatically mean a better result. Choose a target that balances recognizable shape, available glass, cutting skill, foil width, and the way completed sections will be joined.
Review warnings, not just appearance
The rotating preview shows the form, but fabrication notices identify small edges, topology concerns, and fixture limitations. Resolve or consciously accept those conditions before exporting patterns.
