Piece toleranceAfter trying the exact target, allow this many panels above or below it. Equal-distance results prefer fewer panels.

Minimum piece edgeAxial treats this as a structural floor. A ground tip may have one smaller relief edge only when its other three sides are at least 3 mm and meet this limit.

The measured foil layer is yielded from each cut edge; neighboring pieces leave 0.10 mm total before assembly. Surface overlap is calculated separately from tape width, glass thickness, and the grind angle from square.
